A lush Tropical Retreat that was once a nondescript sandy lot. Set on a private island in the Bahamas, this vacation home takes full advantage of the stunning water views and prevailing breezes. The landscape was designed to be a direct reflection of the property’s modern architecture and create three distinct microclimates. In front, a lush garden welcomes you to a contemporary home that feels at ease on this Carribean island. The side garden is in the lee of the biting winter winds with a small pool, sunken seating area and shoes-off sandy dining area. The back garden frames the space between the clean lines of the pool and Caribbean blue ocean, utilizing the simplicity of native verdant grasses, wildflowers and small bluff palms. This is truly a place to escape all your daily worries.
